Frankie Ruth Green Davis

Supply - Frankie Ruth Green Davis, 65, 2112 River St SW, Supply (formerly of Dover Church Road in Seagrove), went home to be with her Lord Monday, September 21, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Frankie was a caring, loving, giving, and devoted wife and mother. Her infectious smile and laugh were contagious. She never met a stranger. Most of Frankie's adult life was spent suffering with her illnesses but to look at her one would never know it. She never complained and only worried and cared about others. Serving as a pastor's wife can often be very difficult but she was always by her husband's side caring and ministering to others in their time of need. Frankie loved her family and extended family very much. She will be missed deeply by all who know her and love her but we know that she is no longer suffering here on earth but is rejoicing with her mother, father, and brother in Heaven right now. Friday, September 25 - Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, at Dover Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Chris Bouldin and the Rev. John Brown officiating. Saturday, September 26 - A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Old Ocean Highway (across from entrance to Brunswick Community College), Bolivia, NC. Mrs. Davis was born in Gaston County to Leonard and Juanita Jones Green. She worked as a sewing machine operator and most recently as church secretary. She served faithfully as a Pastor's wife for 37 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Delton Green. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Dr. Donald G. Davis, of 46 years, of the home; son, Donald G. Davis, Jr., of Greensboro; sisters, FiFi Green of Charlotte, Susan Diane Haskin (L. J.) of Gastonia, Mary Ann Grindstaff (Mickey) of Gastonia, Kathy Bell of Gastonia; grandson, Devin Davis, of Kingsport, TN., and several nieces and nephews. Wednesday, September 23 - The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, at Friendship Baptist Church, 5008 South New Hope Road, Belmont, NC. Thursday, September 24 - The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM -8:00 PM, at Dover Baptist Church and other times at 292 Wolf Creek Road, Star.
