After a long battle with cancer. Gary Wayne Comer, 63, of Seagrove, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at his home.
Gary was born on March 14, 1959, to Paul Clinton and Virginia Mae Brady Comer. He was a lifelong resident of Moore County. He graduated from North Moore High School in 1977 and later he would be employed with Energizer Battery of Asheboro.
Gary had a humble and easy going spirit. He was a dedicated servant of his Lord and Savior. He loved his family, friends and church family and he was well loved by them. He was a generous man with his time and resources. At his church, he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and visited with the sick and elderly.
Survivors are his wife of 31 years, Michelle Wallace Comer of the home; son Stephen Nathaniel Comer of the home; daughter Sara Elizabeth Comer of the home; mother Virginia Mae Brady Comer of Seagrove; and sister Sherry Comer Atkins (John) of Troy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Clinton Comer.
A celebration of his home going, will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Beulah Baptist Church in Bennett at 4:00 pm with Dr. Neal Jackson officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00-3:45 pm.
The family would like to express their gratitude for all the visits, cards, phone calls and special gifts bestowed on them during Gary's illness.
