Genevieve Beauchamp Sheffield

Robbins - Genevieve Beauchamp Sheffield, 79, formerly of High Point, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital. Jenny (as called by many) was born on August 25, 1933. She graduated with the Class of 1951 from High Point High School, was a Girl Scout leader and den mother, a leader of GA, and was a member of WMU. She retired from Flex-O-Laters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lorean Sturms Beauchamp, and her brother, Marian Eugene Beauchamp. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Samuel F. Sheffield, Sr., of the home; sons, Samuel Sheffield, Jr. of Southmont, Charles McNeil Sheffield of Trinity, Donald Lee Sheffield (Anne) of High Point, Richard Dale Sheffield (Renee) of Robbins, Robert Van Sheffield of Georgia; daughter, Christine Sheffield Mounts (David) of Trinity; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Beauchamp, Jr. (Doris) of High Point; a special aunt, Martha Marie Sturms, of Winston Salem; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2013, at Dover Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Dr. Don Davis officiating. Interment will be in Floral Garden Memorial Park in High Point. Pallbearers are Dalan Sheffield, Tim Sheffield, Zach Sheffield, Blake Sheffield, Brent Sheffield, Michkel Reece, Mark Sheffield, and Zachary Sheffield. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Dover Baptist Church, 2527 Dover Church Road, Seagrove, NC 27341. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2013, at Dover Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Don Davis officiating. Interment will be in Floral Garden Memorial Park in High Point.
