George William Bostian

George W. Bostian Star - George William Bostian, 65, of 766 Tarry Church Road Star, died Saturday, November 15, 2008, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2008, at Christ Episcopal Church in Albemarle, with Father James Bernacki and the Rev. Gus Feather officiating. Mr. Bostian was a native of Rowan County. Before retiring in 1998, he was a self-employed trainer/consultant and technical writer/editor. He was an active member of the Christ Episcopal Church where he served on the Worship Committee, was a lector, intercessor, and acolyte. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was preceded in death by his father, William Russell Bostian, Jr. Surviving are his wife, Katherine M. "Katie" Dunlap, of the home; mother, Margaret Wain Bostian Weant, of Granite Quarry. Visitation was held at the family home on November 16, 2008. In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to donate blood to the American Red Cross in memory of Mr. Bostian or to send donations to the Stained Glass Window Fund established in his memory at Christ Episcopal Church, P.O.
