Grace O'Quinn Baldwin

Grace O'Quinn Baldwin, age 94, of 1943 Dover Church Road died Saturday October 31, 2009 at her home in the Dover Church Community. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Dover Baptist Church where she was a member with Dr. Donald Davis officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Baldwin was born in Montgomery County on July 6th, 1915 to the late William Henry and Kitty Smith O'Quinn. Her family always thought of her as "wise in counsel, tender in judgment, strong in Christian faith and purpose." Family was very important to her, and she deeply appreciated and celebrated the ties that bind a family together. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Baldwin, her nine brothers and sisters: Charlie O'Quinn, Lillie Morgan, Henry O'Quinn, Mary O'Quinn, Annie McDonald, Carrie Crock, Clyde O'Quinn, Paul O'Quinn, and Blanche Gannon; her son-in-law, Joseph D. Bostic and grandson, Paul R. Saunders. Surviving are daughters, Anna Saunders and husband, Phillip, of High Point, Inez Bostic of Haw River, and Marie Pridgen and husband, Paul, of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Laura and Norbert Schuehler, Sylvia Reader, Brian and Rachel Stogner, Lynn and Jeff Tippette, Stacy Pridgen and David Bostic; great grandchildren, Nathan, Sarah and Logan Stogner, Jonathan and Joseph Tippette and many other devoted relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2009 at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St. in Star, N.C. and other times at the homeplace of Mrs. Baldwin, 1943 Dover Church Road, Seagrove, N.C.
