Grace Morgan Cox

Star - Grace Poe Morgan Cox, age 76, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.

Mrs. Cox was born August 29, 1941 in Montgomery County to Manley Austin and Ola Catherine Bowden Poe. She was a former employee of Claysons Knitting Co Inc, owner/operator of Morgan's Daycare and Grace's Daycare, and was a cashier at Walmart..

She is survived by her husband, Roy A. Cox, of the home; one daughter, Donna Brown and husband, Jerry, of Star; one son, James "Jimmy" Reynolds and wife, Yana, of Asheboro; step-daughter, Juliana Smith and husband, Andrew, of Williamsburg, VA; one sister, Katie Windley, of Greenville; one brother, Sam Poe, of Star; grandchildren, Brooks Paschal and wife, Taylor, John Reynolds, Luke Reynolds and wife, Natalie, and Jamie Brown; great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Skye, Isaiah Taylor, and Caroline Hope; and step-grandchildren, Matthew and Elijah.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Smith officiating.
