Inez Saunders Lewis

Biscoe - Inez Saunders Lewis, 84, of 901 US Hwy 220 Alt S, died peacefully surrounded by her family Friday, December 13, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Biscoe Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Bruce Lax officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery. Mrs. Lewis was born in Montgomery County to Barna and Fern Lemonds Saunders. She was a long-time member of Biscoe Presbyterian Church, where she served as treasurer. She was a member of Star Chapter 111 Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lewis; son, Phil McIntyre; brother, Barna "Hulin" Saunders. She is survived by her sons, Art Lewis (Susie) of Bessemer City, Don Lewis (Connie) of Biscoe, Larry Lewis of Biscoe, Gary Lewis (Deborah) of Candor; brother, D. C. Saunders, of Climax; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
