J. Bryce Auman

J. Bryce Auman, Sr. Seagrove - J. Bryce Auman, Sr., 83, of 3670 US 220 Alt N, died Sunday, November 9, 2008, at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Asbury Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Joshua Hughes and the Rev. Clay Davis officiating. Burial will in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. He was a native of Montgomery County and was a retired supervisor with Burlington Mills. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the 101 Airborne during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 45 in Asheboro. Surviving are his wife, Ferrell Auman, of the home; daughter, Fay Jordan of Asheboro; sons, Jesse Bryce Auman, Jr. of Sevierville, Tenn., Steven Kelly Auman of Granite Quarry, Larry Gene Auman of Oak Island; brother, Fletcher Auman, of Seagrove; sisters, Mabel Yow of Seagrove, Frances Lee of Asheboro; fifteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Asbury Baptist Church, 395 Asbury Church Road, Seagrove, NC 27341. The family is being served by Phillips Funeral Home in Star.
