James Thomas "J.T." Allen

Star - James Thomas "J.T." Allen, age 82, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

J.T. was born in Randolph County on February 22, 1937, to James Harley and Lucy Mae Morgan Allen. He was the vice president of Troy Lumber Sales, Inc. in Norman. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a mason with Biscoe Masonic Lodge # 437 AF & AM.

His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Settle Allen, of the home; daughter, Mylinda Clark of Candor; son, Jimmy Allen of Star; sister, Janice Williams (Glen) of Star; brothers, Jerry Allen (Janice) of Star and John Reece Allen (Hazel) of Star; four grandchildren, Allen Clark of Candor, Travis Clark (Stephanie) of Seagrove, Thomas Allen (Amy) of Robbins, Tina Hare (Gabriel) of Robbins; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 13, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Dover Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Bouldin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
