James David Asbill, Jr.

Biscoe - James David Asbill, Jr., age 73, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018, at FirstHealth Moore Regional in Pinehurst

Mr. Asbill was born in Moore County on March 20, 1945, to James David Asbill, Sr. and Lelia Dowd Blake Asbill. He was a life-long and faithful member of Biscoe Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Biscoe Fire Department for 28 years and retired as superintendent of public utilities for the Town of Biscoe with 27 years of service. He loved hot rodding and the people he met in the process.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Williams Asbill, of the home; two sons, David Asbill and wife, Lisa, of Biscoe and Paul Asbill and wife, Ashley; four grandchildren, Alyssa Asbill, Aiden Asbill, Ethan Asbill, and Sawyer Asbill; two sisters, Brenda Deberry and husband, Steve, of Biscoe and Linda Patterson and husband, Phil, of Broadway.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 12:00 - 1:45 PM at Biscoe Presbyterian Church, 108 North Main Street, Biscoe.

The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM at Biscoe Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bruce Lax officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery.
