Star - James Allen Loflin, age 36, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at his home.
Allen was born in Moore County on December 4, 1983, to James Calvin Loflin and Monette Eggleston Ayers. He was a member of Shady Grove Christian Church, taught Sunday School, worked for L.M.C. Services, and coached Little League baseball. He was an avid hunter and musician.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Dawn Lord Loflin, sons, Brewster Dayne Loflin, Vincen James Loflin and Davis Allen Loflin, all of the home; mother, Monette Eggleston Ayers and husband, Charles, of Star; father James Calvin Loflin, of Star; brothers, Douglas Calvin Loflin and wife, Amanda, of Star, Curtis Lee Loflin and wife, Jennifer, of Star; grandmother, Dianne Clark Hammonds, and husband, Jimmy, of Asheboro; and much beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 3:00 – 3:45 p.m., Monday, March 9, at Shady Grove Christian Church.
The service will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jeff Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
