Candor - James Thomas Macon, 78, died Monday, March 9, 2015, at FirstHealth Moore Regional in Pinehurst.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Candor Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Thomas officiating. Military honors will be provided by Randolph County Honor Guard.
Mr. Macon was born in Randolph County to Pearl V. and Dorothy Fishel Macon. He was the owner/operator of Troy Ready Mix and was a veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by his wife, Pearlie Lynthacum Macon, of the home; daughter, Carol Smith (Carl Wayne) of Candor; son, Jeffrey Macon (Gezelle) of Seagrove; two grandchildren, Brittney Rosales, Zachary Smith; one great-grandson, Jonathan Rosales.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home of Carl Wayne and Carol Smith, 912 Burkhead Street, Candor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Candor Fire Department, PO Box 220, Candor, NC 27229.
