James Lee Maness

Robbins - James Lee "Buck" Maness, 72, of 433 Hussey Road, died Thursday, August 25, 2011, at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 PM, Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Stalnaker officiating. He was born in Montgomery County to Dave and Mattie Troublefield Maness and was in the US Army Reserves. He was a retired poultry worker. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Ritter Maness, of the home; sons, David Maness, Henry (Sharon) Maness, Lewis Maness, all of Robbins; brother, Willie "Pete" Maness, of Star; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
