James Edward McNeill

Seagrove - James Edward "Eddie" McNeill, 68, of 431 Upper Road, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. Eddie was born in Randolph County to Russell Edward and Pallie Luck McNeill, who preceded him in death. He was a retired rural mail carrier with the US Postal Service and was a member of Biscoe Masonic Lodge # 437 A.F. & A.M. He was a veteran of the US Army where he served in the 174th AHC during the Vietnam War from 1966 - 1967. He is survived by his sister, Betsy M. Wright (Richard) of Seagrove; nieces and nephews, Carolyn Pulliam (Robbie) of Snow Camp, Scotty Wright (Rhonda) of Carthage, Mark Wright (Debbie) of Asheboro; great-nieces and nephews, Alex, Mitchell, Halston, Jordan and Jessica. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, 345 N Church Street, Asheboro, NC 27203 or The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
