Star - James Marshall Ward, age 63, died Friday, September 4, 2020, at his home.
James was born in Montgomery County on April 28, 1957 to Orlindo and Jessie Hazel Callicutt Ward. He previously attended the Jesse Cole Center in Biscoe. He loved to go to church, go to the beach, and always greeted you with a big smile. He is in Heaven now walking the streets of gold.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wiley Ward.
He is survived by his sister, Peggy Loflin and husband, Jimmy of Star and several nieces and nephews.
His body will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Sunday, September 6, at Phillips Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 6, at Guiding Light Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Bean and Rev. Mark Medlin officiating.
