Biscoe - Janet Lucille Stover Maness, age 96, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Mrs. Maness was born in Chambersburg, PA on November 27, 1924, to Howard Landis and Eleanor Donnelly Stover. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Biscoe, a retired nurse at Springs Aileen Plant Inc., and was a volunteer for Montgomery County Council on Aging, a 4-H leader, served on the Montgomery County Board of Health, and a member of the Good Ole Girls.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max Maness; son, Bill Maness; and grandson, Jacob Ritter.
She is survived by her daughter, Maxine Pike and husband, Bob of New Richmond, WI; sons, Robert N. Maness and wife, Annette of Biscoe, and Richard Maness and wife, Kathy of Star; four grandchildren, Angie Ritter, R.J. Maness, Dawn McNeill, and Kevin McNeill; and three great-grandchildren, William Ritter, Isabella Ritter, and Meredith Hinshaw.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Biscoe Cemetery with the Rev. Josh Powers officiating.
