Seagrove - Jaxie Mae Bean McNeill, 85, of 179 McNeill Lane, died in the arms of the Lord on Friday, January 25, 2013, at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Union Grove Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member, with the Rev. Dr. Ron Chaney officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. McNeill was born in Montgomery County to John Ollie and Ava Cagle Bean and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colon McNeill; brothers, Edward Bean, Boyd Bean, Harold Bean, Melvin Bean, and infant brother, Willie. She was affectionately known by each of her brothers as their "favorite sister". She will also be missed by her grand dogs, Miss Allie, Miss Mattie, Miss Sadie Mae, and Miss Sandy. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine M. Moore and husband, Henry, of Seagrove; son, Wayne McNeill and wife, Robin, of Seagrove; grandchildren, Brian Moore and wife, Robin, of Fayetteville, Devin Moore of Asheboro, Drew McNeill of Seagrove, Adam McNeill and Brittney of Seagrove; great-grandchildren, Nathan Moore, Skylar McNeill; brothers, Ray Bean and wife, Vivian, Franklin Bean and wife, Catherine, Kelly Bean and wife, Shelby, all of Seagrove; sisters-in-law, Nellie Bean and Georgia Bean. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Union Grove Baptist Church and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204 or Union Grove Baptist Church, 7912 Union Grove Church Road, Seagrove, NC 27341.
