Jerry Albert Morgan

Star - Jerry Albert Morgan, 58, died Thursday, July 10, 2014, at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Jerry was born in Montgomery County to the late Charlie Albert and Betty Jane Spivey Morgan. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and short track car racing. He was a former member of the pit crew for Ricky McBride and Billy Hogan. He is survived by his sisters, Brenda Burrow and husband, Gary, of Ether, Darlene Bowman of Candor; aunts, Emma Sheffield of Star, Alma Brown of Robbins; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
