Jewel Freeman Dunn

Mrs. Jewel Freeman Dunn, 69, of 226 Dunn Avenue, Star, died Saturday, February 18, 2012, at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 21, at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Dunn was born in Moore County to James Alton and Annie Wilder Freeman. She was a retired hosiery mill worker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Dunn was predeceased by her son, Larry Wayne Dunn. Surviving are her husband, Hoyet Lee Dunn of the home, One Son: Ronnie L. Dunn, Star, NC One Daughter: Sharon Singleton, McLeansville, NC Mother: Annie W. Freeman, Star, NC Three Brothers: Jimmy Freeman, Candor, NC Frankie Freeman, Star, NC Mike Freeman, Star, NC One Sister: Patty Allen, Star, 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM, Monday, February 20, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
