Jimmy Ray Bodsford

Star - Jimmy Ray Bodsford, age 82, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst. Mr. Bodsford was born in Montgomery County on December 2, 1938, to Luther Ashby and Nina Florence Bondurant Bodsford. He was a retired supervisor for Candor Hosiery Mill. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Carleen Lemonds Bodsford, of the home; daughter, Cindy Johnson (Greg) of Star; sons, Keith Bodsford (Karen) of Candor and Jeff Bodsford (Wendy) of West End; seven grandchildren, Ashley Asbill, Phillip Johnson, Anthony Bodsford, Heather Saunders, Logan Bodsford, Haley Bodsford, and Travis Livengood; and twelve great-grandchildren. Mr. Bodsford's body will lie in repose from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 2, at Phillips Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 3, at Leach Cemetery with the Rev. Ralph Smith officiating.
