Joe Ed Davis, Sr., 58, of 233 Smith Lake Road, Star, left to be with our Lord on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at his residence. A private family funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 17, at Star House of Praise with the Rev. Marion Poythress and Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Interment will be in Star House of Praise Cemetery. Mr. Davis was a native of Montgomery County born to Jessy Lee and Dorothy Spivey Davis. He was plant manager at Select Frame Shop, Inc. Surviving are his wife, Connie Davis, of the home; Two Sons: Joe Ed Davis, Jr. and wife, Jessica, Star, NC Jason Edward Davis, Star, NC One Daughter: Billie M. Jarrell and husband, John, Star, NC One Brother: Kelly Davis, Star, NC Three Sisters: Geraldine Beitzel, Star, NC Hilda Davis, Star, NC Ruth Ann Davis, Star, NC 3 grandchildren. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM, Wednesday, April 17, at Star House of Praise.
