Joe Sheridan Decker

Mt. Gilead - Joe Sheridan Decker, Sr., age 71, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017, at his home.

Mr. Decker was born in Broome County, NY on July 24, 1946 to Horace Emerson and Frances Ruth Moore Decker. He was a forklift operator at the foundry in Biscoe.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Sara F. Decker.

He is survived by his wife, Shiela Lindsey Decker, of the home; four sons, Joe Decker, Jr. of Sanford, Steve Decker of Sanford, Brian Decker of Mt. Gilead and Sean Decker of Troy; brother of eight sisters, Mary Dietzman of Harpersville, NY, Anna Montresser of Binghamton, NY, Marjory Macomber of Deposit, NY, Rhea Barnes of Windsor, NY, Ethel Bondranko of Yale, VA, Sharon Faulkenberry of Rock Hill, SC, Jenny Barrett of Deposit, NY and Katherine Szymaniak of Harpersville, NY; three brothers, Michael Decker of Harpersville, NY, Douglas Decker, Sr. of Windsor, NY and Jeffery Decker of Clinton, TN; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

A memorial service and visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Friday, August 11, at his home.
