Joe Stanley Newsom

Star - Joe Stanley Newsom, 77, died Saturday, April 7, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional. He was the son of the late Lark & Essie Newsom and the late Mary Dorothy Newsom. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 12th, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends at 249 South Main Street, Star. He was preceded in death by his wife, Della Ernestine Browne Newsom. Surviving are his daughters, Elisa (Travis) Martin of Travelers Rest, SC, Della Davis of Chesterfield, SC, Julia Hare of Asheboro; sons, Mark (Torye) Newsom of Star, Eric (Susan) Newsom of Star, Alex Newsom of Star; 11 grandchildren.
