John Bedford Lee

John Bedford Lee, 78, of Seagrove, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at FirstHealth Moore Regional .

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 9, at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church in Seagrove with the Rev. Andrew Hulbert and Rev. Wayne Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Lee was born in Person County to Burley Thomas and Annie Tuck Lee. He was retired from the textile industry. Mr. Lee was predeceased by his son, Ricky Darrell Lee.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Walker Lee, of the home; sons, Jerry Allen Lee (Betty) of Asheboro, John David Lee of Southern Pines, Bryan Keith Lee (April) of Seagrove; daughter, Betty Joyce of Seagrove; daughter-in-law, Pattie Lee of Elon; sister, Janie Parrish of Danville, VA; grandchildren, Kevin Lee, Joshua Lee, Angela Adams, Justin Dills, Cory Lee, Laura Lee, Sydney Lee, Rayna Lee, Jamie Wright; ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 8, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
