Star - John Leonard Lynch, age 45, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. John was born in Elgin, Illinois on February 22, 1976. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and an auto mechanic at Star Auto. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Graham Lynch, of the home; daughters, Destiny Lynch, Zaelynn Lynch, and Nadiah Lynch; son, Lucas Lynch; father, John Warren Lynch, Jr. (Paulette) of Hope Mills; mom, Patricia Hurley (John) of Fayetteville; sisters, Rebecca Fisher (Kurtis) of Ohio, Heather Moran (Jim) of Tennessee, Holly Flemming (John) of Fayetteville; and brother, Joshua Hurley (Lindsey) of Fayetteville. John's body will lie in repose from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 10, at Phillips Funeral Home. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, please wear a face mask and observe social distancing at his funeral services. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 10, at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Neal Jackson officiating.
