John Henry Negus

Biscoe - John Henry Negus, age 76, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019, at First Health Hospice and Palliative Care in Pinehurst.

Mr. Negus was born in Washington, DC on November 22, 1942, to Joseph Watkins Negus, Sr. and Frances Hiden Negus. He was a veteran of the US Army, where he served during the Vietnam War. He was a retired electronic installer of fire alarms. He was a member of Star United Methodist Church, VFW Post 9881, DAV, American Legion, and Biscoe Masonic Lodge # 437 AF & AM.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Negus; daughters, Hazel Saunders and husband, Van, of Troy, and Kathy Fields and husband, Jodie, of Mt. Gilead, son, Joe Negus, of Mt. Gilead; sisters, Beverly Funicelli of Maryland, Sandy Achenbach of New Mexico, and Susan Negus of California; step-son, Joe Deaton and wife, Yvonne, of Asheboro; grandsons, Chris, Kenny, and Brandon Saunders and wife, Bridgette, and Jamie Latham and wife, Christy; step-granddaughters, Brandie Fields Cook and Mandy Green; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23, at Star United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kay Boone officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by Randolph Honor Guard.
