Biscoe - Johnny Maxie Lamonds, 65, of 392 Wright Road, died Thursday, October 25, 2012, at his home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 28, 2012, at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Martin E. Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Lamonds was born in Montgomery County to Samuel Neil and Doris Voncannon Lamonds. He was retired from Uwharrie Lumber Company. He is surviving by his daughter, Lisa Coggins and husband, Greg, of Biscoe, Abby King and husband, Chris, of Asheboro; sons, Shane Lamonds, of the home, Johnny Lamonds, Jr. and wife, Lisa, of Bear Creek, Danny "Bud" Lamonds, of Biscoe; his mother, Doris Lamonds of Candor; sisters, Joyce Brock of Troy, Diane Lamonds of Candor, Janie Livingston of Candor; brother, Alex Lamonds, of Candor; half-sisters, Anabel Connly of Raleigh, Christine Beaman of Troy, Vera Nance of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Bethany Coggins, Brianna Coggins, Allison Coggins, Ashley Lamonds, Jonathan Lamonds, Caleb Lamonds, Natalie King; great-grandchild, Braylee Humphrey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
