Biscoe - Joshua "Josh" Earl Baldwin, 30, of East Main Street, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Grady Blakely and Rev. Mike Greene officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Dover Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Josh was born in Moore County to Jimmy and Stephanie Smith Baldwin. He was a veteran of the US Army, where he served two tours of duty in Iraq as a IED disposal expert. He was awarded Army Commendation Medal (2nd award), Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd award and also a 4th award), Combat Action Badge, and Driver and Mechanic Badge.
Josh is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Stephanie Smith Baldwin, of Biscoe; paternal grandmother, Frances Ratliff Baldwin, of Biscoe; maternal grandfather, John G. Matthews, of Southern Pines; girlfriend, Jennifer Yow; and several nieces and cousins.
