Joyce Annette Reeder Bean

Seagrove - Joyce Annette Reeder Bean, age 74, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021, at UNC Hospice Home in Pittsboro. Joyce was born in Montgomery County on December 8, 1946, to James Paul and Rosie Williamson Reeder. She was a retired secretary for Russ Knits in Candor. She loved her family and friends and was a great cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Harold Bean. She is survived by her sons, Chris Bean of Seagrove, Terry Bean and wife, Karen of Seagrove, and Kerry Bean and wife, Wendy of High Falls; sister, Brenda Morgan and husband, Michael of Maryville, TN; brother, James "Jimmy" Reeder and wife, Joyce of Robbins; grandchildren, Haley and husband, Stephen, Kaylyn, Jacob, Joshua, Madison, and Mason. Joyce's body will lie in repose from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, and from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Monday, February 1, at Phillips Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 1, at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth McNeill and Rev. Larry May officiating.
