Larry Sanford Goins

Candor - Larry Sanford Goins, age 72, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst. Mr. Goins was born in Montgomery County on April 2, 1948 to Fredrick Sanford and Ethel Mae Wood Goins. He was a retired hosiery mill fixer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry Frederick Goins, sister Lois Powell, and brother Stanton Lane Goins. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Lamonds Goins of the home; daughter, Connie Faye Goins of Albemarle; son, Sanford Ray Goins of Candor; sisters, Carolyn Goins Overton (Edgar) of Troy and Sandra Goins of Robbins; brothers, Bruce "Butch" Goins (Jackie) of Star and Terry Goins (Christine) of Biscoe. His body will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, at Phillips Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Lamonds officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.phillipsfh.com.
