Biscoe - Larry Kaster Lemonds, age 73, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at his residence.
Larry was born in Montgomery County on December 2, 1947, to Theron Kaster and Jessie Ard Lemonds. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War; was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Robbins; was employed by Myrick Construction as an equipment operator for many years; and was an active member of VFW Post # 9881 in Biscoe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Garner Lemonds and daughter, Tanya Gail Brown.
He is survived by his daughter, Hannah Dunn and husband, Cliff, of Pinehurst; brother, Harvey Lemonds and wife, Shirley, of Biscoe; grandson, Colin Dunn; and several nieces and nephews.
Larry's body will lie in repose from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23, and from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Sunday, January 24, at Phillips Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 24, at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery in Robbins with the Rev. Jack Phillips officiating. Military honors will be provided by the NC National Guard.
