Biscoe - Leach Maness Johnson, 92, of 1864 Cotton Creek Road, died Sunday, October 14, 2012, at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Biscoe Presbyterian Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Dr. Bruce Lax officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Johnson was born in Montgomery County to Ernest Caswell and Deborah Ethel Maness Johnson. He was a retired surveyor and was a World War II US Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Leach Johnson. He survived by his wife, Edna Dunlap Johnson, of the home; daughters, Donna Monroe and husband, John, of Biscoe, Sherrie Quick and husband, Alan, of Rockingham; grandchildren, Kenneth Monroe, Travis Monroe, Candice Quick, Cameron Quick; great-grandchildren, Zackary and Madison. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star. Memorials may be made to Biscoe Presbyterian Church, PO Box 638, Biscoe, NC 27209.
