Lealon Dawson Davis

Seagrove - Lealon Dawson Davis, 86, of Seagrove went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, November 21, 2014. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 24, at Needham's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. James Cockram officiating. Burial will follow at Dover Baptist Church Cemetery. Lealon was born August 20, 1928 to the late Neil Webster and Elma Hancock Davis. He was a member of Needham's Grove Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, pawpaw, and a great Christian example to all those who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sylvia Gail, and his six brothers and one sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Wilma Moore Davis; daughters, Cathy (David) Brown, Lynn Davis, Nora (Roy) Wright, Janet (Mickey) Flinchum; grandchildren, Scottie (Daphne) Brown, Randy (Amy) Wallace, Ryan (Laurie) Brown, Roy (Katie) Wright, Jr., Maranda (Brandon) Britt, Jacob Flinchum; great-grandchildren, Josh, Ethan, Carly, Harlin, Trad, Holden, Aiden, Asheton, and Kenan. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7:00 pm Sunday, November 23, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star. Memorials may be made to the building fund at Needham's Grove Baptist Church.
