Leatrice Joy Auman James

Seagrove - Leatrice Joy Auman James, age 89, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019, at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Mrs. James was born in Montgomery County on April 23, 1930, to Flossie Elizabeth Auman. She was a retired hosiery mill seamer and a member of Ether United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Robert James, of the home; daughter, Robin McNeill and husband, Wayne, of Seagrove; son, Terry James and wife, Susan, of Asheboro; sisters, Billy Nichols of Ether, Diane Bernhart of Candor, and Pam Smith and husband, Doug, of Asheboro; brother, Lacy Freeman and wife, Jo Ann, of Asheboro; four grandchildren, Chris James, Chad James, Drew McNeill, and Adam McNeill; eight great-grandchildren; her special nieces and nephews; and her pets, Jake and Daisy.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 19, from 3:00 - 3:45 p.m. at Ether United Methodist Church.

The funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Ether United Methodist Church with Rev. Kay Boone and Rev. Dr. Ron Chaney officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
