Lelia B. Asbill Biscoe - Lelia Blake Asbill, age 84, of 512 Aileen Avenue, died Monday, March 9, 2009, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Biscoe Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Anne R. Beach officiating. Burial will follow in Biscoe Cemetery. Mrs. Asbill was born in Montgomery County to the late John Wesley and Vira Richardson Blake. She was a retired teachers assistant. She was preceded in death by her husband, James David Asbill, Sr. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda DeBerry of Biscoe, Linda Patterson of Broadway; son, David Asbill of Biscoe; sisters, Sandra Baldwin of Rockingham, Phyllis Sedberry of Albemarle, Betty Jean Blake of Asheboro; brother, Richard Blake of Rockingham; step-brothers, Marvin Liles of Baltimore, Md., Ralph Liles of Washington; grandchildren, Ryan Patterson, Aimee Auman, David Asbill III, Matthew DeBerry, Emily Patterson, Jonathan DeBerry, Paul Asbill; great-grandchildren, Reece Patterson, Rylee Auman, Savana Johnson, Rylan Patterson, Addison Patterson, Alyssa Asbill, Aiden Johnson. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star and other times at the home.
