Lillian E. Corbett Asheboro - Lillian Ethel Davis Corbett, age 84, of Asheboro, died Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Dover Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Corbett was born in Newport News, Virginia, to the late William Eli and Alice Dunn Davis. She was a retired sewer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Wayne Corbett, and daughter, Alice Lynn Corbett. She is survived by her sons, Ronald B. Graham of Biscoe, Dwight "Danny Ray" Corbett of Asheboro; daughter, Linda Lopienski, and husband, John, of Asheboro; sister, Eunice Britt, of Biscoe; brother, William C. Davis, of Newport News, Virginia; grandson, John T. Lopienski. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star.
