Linda Smith McNeill

Linda Smith McNeill, aged 73, passed away on November 21, 2023 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

Linda was born on October 22, 1950, in Montgomery County to Claudie "Tency" and Jean Parsons Smith.

She graduated from East Montgomery High School in 1969 and later received her degree from North Carolina Banking School. Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Biscoe.

Linda is survived by her husband Bruce McNeill of the home, daughter Amy Frieary (Eddie) of Biscoe, son Gary McNeill (Shelly) of Mt.Gilead, mother Jean Smith of Biscoe, brothers Jerry Smith (Barbara) of Biscoe and Tommy Smith of Star, and sisters Dianne Gadd of Candor and Lesa Speer (Andy) of Troy. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Laya Dawkins Smith (Zachary), Sarah Dawkins DeHart (Matthew), and Aiden McNeill; as well as great-grandchildren Kallie Smith, James Smith, Mabel Smith, Ivey Smith, Benjamin DeHart, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Phillips Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 pm.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Biscoe at 11:00 am. Rev. Josh Powers will officiate the service. Following the funeral, Linda will be laid to rest at Biscoe Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Biscoe at PO Box 36, Biscoe, NC 27209.
