Seagrove - Lloyd Roscoe Robbins, 80, of 460 Talc Mine Road, died Monday, June 7, 2010 at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Dover Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Dr. Don Davis and Dr. Kenneth McNeill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Robbins was born in Forsyth County to Noah Roscoe and Anna Virginia Chilton Robbins. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1995 as a truck driver from Burlington Industries. After retirement, he became a tour bus driver for Royal Tours until 2004. He leaves behind a beloved pet, "Sam".
Surviving are his wife, Ethel Freeman Robbins, of the home; daughter, Dr. Karen Jordan and husband, Norman, of Siler City; son, Keith Robbins and wife, Vernette, of Seagrove; sister, Mary Lou Hogan and husband, Edward, of Seagrove; grandchildren, Cory, Jared, and Bethany Robbins.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home.
