Lois Freeman Blake

Seagrove - Lois Freeman Blake, 98, of 1264 NC Hwy 705 South, died Monday, January 14, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Center Cross Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Ron Copple officiating. Interment will be in Ether UMC Cemetery.

Mrs. Blake was born Mary 26, 1914, to Lacy Harris and Eula Needham Freeman. She was retired from Pinehurst Textiles in Asheboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Gaston Blake, five brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Merlene Blake Teague of Asheboro, Dorothy Blake Jordan of Seagrove; sister, Lera Flowers of Asheboro; two grandchildren, Gary Lee Teague of Asheboro, Mark Steven Teague of Asheboro; two great-grandchildren, Dylan Lee Teague of Winston-Salem, and Lennon Byram Teague of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
