Lonnie William Boone

Ether - Lonnie William Boone, 88, formerly of Ether, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Autumn Care of Biscoe. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 29, 2011, at Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Grady Blakely officiating. Mr. Boone was a native of Montgomery County, a member of Union Grove Baptist Church, a WWII US Army veteran, retired from Clayson Knitting Inc., and was a member of VFW Post #9881 in Biscoe. He is survived by his wife, Geneva Ward Boone, of Biscoe; daughter, Janice East and husband, E.W., of Biscoe; son, Donald Boone and wife, Harriet, of Troy; three grandchildren, Todd East snd wife, Daisha, Amy Preslar and husband, Jim, Beth Boone; two great-grandchildren, Ross and Jacks Preslar.
