Lora Mae McNeill Dunlap

Seagrove - Lora Mae McNeill Dunlap, age 88, formerly of 129 Dunlap Road, died Monday, February 22, 2010, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 26, 2010, at Dover Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Dr. Don Davis and the Rev. Lonnie Gibson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She was born in Moore County to Neal and Mattie Elizabeth Allred McNeill. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Buren Dunlap; sisters, Mammie Dunlap, Alma Brown; brothers, Leon McNeill, Newland McNeill; grandson, Gary Cheek. Lora Mae was devoted to her church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and cooking. She had a kind and giving heart and was loved by all who knew her. Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn Cheek and husband, Dalton, of Robbins, Linda Brady and husband, Larry, of Robbins, Janice Wright and husband, Bill, of Asheboro, Wanda McNeill and husband James, of Asheboro; son, Randy Buren Dunlap of Robbins; sister, Margaret Hunter of Asheboro; grandchildren, Connie Burns, Cindy Monroe, Kim Phipps, Kristen Rowland, Sonya Tallant, Lisa Hussey, Chris Brady, Sherri Spivey, Kelli Stalvey, Wendy Dunlap, Dana Dunlap; 19 great -grandchildren The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 25, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home of Dalton and Carolyn Cheek, 4129 Hwy 705 N, Robbins, NC.
