Lovella McNeill Spivey

Lovella McNeill Spivey, 84, of Seagrove died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 11, at Victory Baptist Church in Seagrove with the Rev. Dr. Charles R. Fleshman officiating. Interment will be in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Spivey was born in Alamance County to Vernon T. and Fairy Mae Cagle McNeill. She was pianist at Union Grove Baptist Church and Victory Baptist Church where she was presently a member. She was retired from Lancer, Inc. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Floyd Spivey. Surviving are her daughter, Ramona S. Pierce of Seagrove; brother, Hurley T. McNeill and wife, Sadie, of Clemmons; sister, Eloise M. Lawson of Asheboro; grandson, Christopher Pierce; granddaughter, Brittany Pierce, and one great-grandson. A special note of thanks is offered to Peggy Jordan, caregiver for Mrs. Spivey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday, November 10, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
