Lucille Mabe Saunders

Linda "Lucille" Mabe Saunders, age 97, of Asheboro, passed away on September 24, 2024, at Autumn Care.

Lucille was born on January 28, 1927, in Montgomery County to Grover and Maggie Mabe. Lucille dedicated many years of her life to working in the hosiery mill until her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Saunders and sons Van Saunders and Phillip Saunders.

She is survived by her daughters Linda Davis of Asheboro and Pam Johnson of Monroe and son Terry Saunders (Katherine) of Asheboro. As well as six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at White Oak Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mark Medlin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to White Oak Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund., c/o Charlotte, PO Box 271, Star, NC 27356.
