Biscoe - Margie Mae Haywood Green, 86, of Page Street, died Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Stanly Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Dover Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Don Davis and Rev. Mike E. Holyfield officiating. Mrs. Green was born in Montgomery County to George and Ada Bell Richardson Haywood. She was a retired trainer in the Knitting Department at Springs Inc. Aileen Plant and in her spare time she was a seamstress making dolls for many happy children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Ruth Green and son, George Franklin Green. She is survived by her daughters, Adalee Green Gossage, Elaine Green Allen Helmig and husband, Donald, Annie Green Carter and husband, Billy; sons, Johnnie R. Green and wife, Juanita, Carey Adam Green and wife, Linda Lamp Green; grandchildren, Myron Lee Green and wife, Joyce Taylor, April Maness, Rebecca Hall Greene and husband Charles, Darin Hall and wife, Lori , Curtis Carter, Cindy Niece and husband, Wayne Niece, Jr., Carolyn Green, Samuel Lamp and wife, Tiffany, J. R. Helmig and wife, Heather, Jeff Helmig; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Essie Sexton and husband, Bernard, of Candor, Jessie Campbell of Biscoe. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Dover Baptist Church.
