Martha Ann Lyon East

Star - Martha Ann Lyon East, 81, died Friday, March 24, 2017, at High Point Regional.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 27, 2017, at Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Hubert McLeod and Rev. Billy Ray Chriscoe officiating.

Mrs. East was born in Montgomery County to Benjamin H. and Bessie Mae Lucas Lyon. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clay Eugene East; son, Randy Clay East; and brothers, Benjamin H. Lyon, Jr., Jack Harold Lyon, and Harry Lyon.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Lucas (Timmy) of Star, Lisa McLean of Ramseur, Angela Freeman (Colon) of Troy, Regina Hawk (Richard) of Asheboro, Rhonda East of Ether; sons, Gregory East of Star, Gary C. East, Jr. (Laura) of Star, Marty East (Linda) of Mt. Olive; sisters, Margaret Nichols of Star, Peggy Nichols of Star, 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home, 141 Lucas Road, Star, NC 27356.
