Martha R. Walker Biscoe - Martha Sue Robinson Walker, 73, of 529 Mill Street died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Cornerstone Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike McGehee officiating. Burial will follow in Biscoe Cemetery. She was a native of Montgomery County. She was a retired elementary school teacher with 38 years of service with the Montgomery County Schools. She was a founding member of Cornerstone Baptist Church serving as the choir and music director and pianist. Surviving are her husband, Robert D. Walker, of the home; son, Robert D. Walker, II, of Biscoe; sister, Mary Dan Watson, of Red Springs; brother, William Robinson of Hartsville, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star and other times at the home.
