Marvin Leonard Wilkes

Carthage - Marvin Leonard Wilkes, age 76, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019, at his residence.

Mr. Wilkes was born in Montgomery County on November 28, 1942, to Marvin Thomas and Margaret Odesa Sanders Wilkes. He was a self-employed diesel mechanic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lonnie Wilkes and Skip Wilkes; and sisters, Lorraine Strider and Debbie Buroughs; and granddaughter, Taylor Frye.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Ratliff Wilkes of the home; daughters, Margaret Allison Wilkes of Carthage and Cathy Frye and husband, Jonathan, of Carthage; son, Tommy Wilkes and wife, Melissa, of Carthage; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 366 Coles Mill Road, Carthage.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 30, at Leach Road Holiness Church with the Rev. Hubert McLeod officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family.
