Mary Anne Strider Chunn

Biscoe - Mary Anne Strider Chunn, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Chunn was born in Moore County on February 2, 1938 to Nathaniel and Della (Sheffield) Strider. She was a retired registered nurse.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Nelson Chunn and brother, Earl Sheffield.

She is survived by three daughters, Teressa Chunn AbouTaleb (Khaled) of Biscoe, Denise Saunders (Roger) of Troy, Mary Beth Krob (J.D.) of Stafford, Virginia; two sons, Alan Chunn (Jackie) of Troy, Brian Chunn (Reyes) of San Antonio, TX; brother, Willis Strider, of Star; six grandchildren, Justin Gooch, Garrett Gooch, Megan Chunn, Michael Chunn, Jonathan Krob, Maranda Krob; and one great-grandchild, Maddox Gooch.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 3, 2018, from 6 - 8 PM at Phillips Funeral Home.

The funeral will be postponed till Friday at 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Asheboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Biscoe Christian Church, PO Box 404, Biscoe, NC 27209.

Funeral service is rescheduled for Friday Jan. 5 2018, 2:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
