Asheboro - Michael "Dwain" George, age 47, formerly from Star, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021, at his home in Asheboro.
Dwain was a very caring person with a big heart, and he loved his family very much. He never met a stranger and was always a giving person. He was a 1992 graduate from East Montgomery High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Betty Davis Morgan; his uncle, Jerry Morgan; and niece, Marlee Rae Greene.
He is survived by his parents, Gary and Brenda Morgan Burrow of Troy; brother, Robert George and Melissa Hunt of Asheboro; sister and brother-in-law, Adrian and Eric Greene of Wake Forest; aunt, Darlene Bowman; two nephews, Brandon George and Maxton Greene; and one niece, Madilyn Greene.
Dwain's body will lie in repose from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, at Phillips Funeral Home. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is requested that you wear face mask and practice social distancing.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm., Wednesday, February 17, at Biscoe Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Davis officiating.
