Biscoe - Mildred Frances Allen Hunsucker, age 83, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Mrs. Hunsucker was born in Montgomery County on June 1, 1936 to Charles Wade and Lalah Frances Rose Allen. She was a retired cafeteria worker and drove a school bus for Montgomery County Schools; was a former hosiery mill employee; and was an accomplished seamstress. She was a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and Savior and her precious family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Clifton Wade Allen.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Delma "Dink" Eugene Hunsucker, of the home; daughter, Darlene Hamilton and husband, Carl, of Troy; son, Dwayne Hunsucker and wife, Angela, of Star; brother, Sam Allen and wife, Gail, of Bessemer City; and granddaughters, Rebecca Lynn Hunsucker and Natalie Rose Hamilton.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 29, at Phillips Funeral Home and other times at 204 North Main Street, Apt. B, Biscoe.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, at Beulah Baptist Church in Bennett with the Rev. Chris Bouldin and the Dr. Curtis Barbery officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
